SECURITY
Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) Wireless
technology was originally used by the military as a
way of sending secure communications. Cyber
Wireless
LLC’s broadband Wireless
utilizes FHSS to send signals in a random sequence
which is more difficult to isolate because the radio
signal switches frequencies many times a second,
transmitting on each channel for a fixed amount of
time, then proceeding on to the next channel in its
sequences, ultimately making Cyber Wireless
LLC’s Broadband
Wireless resistant to unauthorized detection. The
FHSS modulation acts as a layer 1 encryption process.
There is no need for application level encryption,
which prevents the loss of additional bandwidth.
When not using FHSS in our network,
encryption is enabled via DES.
Additional
levels of encryption can be provided as required.
